The 5 Stringer is the official newsletter of the ABF founded in 1949 as a mimeographed double sided sheet. Later, under the direction of Lew Green, it took the form of a small magazine complete with music supplements. It has remained in this form since that time. Focused on the special interest of Classic Banjo, the body of work and information found in back issues is tremendous.
