The 2024 Spring Rally will be held May 16-18, 2024 (early birds show up on Wednesday).
The theme is “Music From the Library of Mary Koons.” Mary Koons was a classic era banjoist and active member of the ABF that passed away in 2006. She left her personal collection of sheet music, which Paul Heilman spent considerable effort and time to sort and catalog. Attached is a spread sheet of the collection. Many of the pieces on this list are generally available through the usual sources such as https://classic-banjo.ning.com/page/scores and https://archive.org/details/@joel_hooks But many more are not. If there is a title that grabs your interest please reach out to our Librarian, Becky Schneider, who is prepared to fill requests.
The Orchestra pieces are Dandy 5th (Farland) and Glass In Hand Galop, (arr Armstrong).
