The official group numbers are pieces that are generally known to members of the ABF and Classic Banjo enthusiasts. They are varied collection of music that is suitable for solos, ensembles, or group playing. During the Round Robin we will play a group number together to start, about half way through, and at the end. These are also played regularly during jams.

- Transatlantique, R. Tarrant Bailey Jr. (written for, and a gift to the ABF, this was published in 5 Stringer #122 and may be found below this list)
- The Sunflower Dance (aka With The Tide Schottische, this link is to the A notation original), Herman Rowland This may be found on page 26 in “The Banjo and How to Play it“, by Emile Grimshaw
- The Ladbroke March, C. Skinner (may be found on the Classic Banjo Ning website, also published in A notation along with “simple method” in the Brooks and Denton folio)
- On The Mill Dam Galop, A. A. Babb (this is one of the banjo solos that remained in print pretty much the entire classic banjo era)
- California Dance, George Gregory (the link is to the Clifford Essex published version, most play from the arrangement found in the “Mel Bay Banjo Method“, by Frank C. Bradbury)
- Berkeley March, Brooks & Denton (The theme of the ABF to honor the composer Harry Denton the first Honorary President. There are a few arrangements of this, the most commonly played is found in the Fred Van Eps Banjo Solos folio)
- Smiler Rag, Percy Wenrich (this was never published for banjo and is only in manuscript form, it may be found in the 5 Stringer issue 91 below this list)
- A Footlight Favorite, Emile Grimshaw
- Whistling Rufus, Kerry Mills (*note that the Clifford Essex published piece is incomplete, the ABF plays the full trio from the piano part, this may be found in 5 Stringer #197 found below this list)
